Farming Upstream

In ancient Egypt farming was much more advanced than one might think. People often refer to their farming area as the nile valley. This specific article focuses on a major town known as "Amara West." Amara West was pretty much the capital of farming along the nile river in ancient Egypt. This area had the most fertile soil, therefore was the hub for most farming and trade. Really anywhere along the nile was the most fertile soil in all of Egypt. That's why when you look at most of the major town from that era they were all located along the nile river.
